Perhaps I am ignorant. I thought only humans eat chilli. So when my chilli plant started to bloom with pretty flowers and fresh chilli, I was looking forward to sharing them with my family and friends.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered half eaten chillis. I pondered about it for days at this mystery of chillis that have been chomped off.

The answer came a couple of days later. The birds ate from my chilli plant! I caught them red-handed. I thought only humans eat chilli. Birds eat worms. They eat insects and seeds. Not spicy chilli.

It is not logical, almost ridiculous. It is just not possible. Who would think that birds eat chilli. I imagined them taking the spice and flying straight towards the pool for some relief!

This got me thinking... Is there room for the impossible and the unfathomable to happen in our lives?

Next time, do not say “it is not possible, it can never happen”. Give unimaginable hope a window of opportunity.
